Whitehorse, Yukon

Four kinds of trip.
No dates on any of them.

The writing on your site is the best thing about it and nothing below touches a word of it. The one thing missing is the week.

The season, as your site currently gives it

The months are a Yukon hiking and canoeing season, not a claim about yours — because the live site does not say. 0 departures and 0 prices appear anywhere on the home page or the hiking page.

01

There is not one departure date on the site

Four kinds of trip, described well, and no week attached to any of them. A guided multi-day hike is bought by somebody with a fortnight of leave and a flight to book — the date is not a detail of that decision, it is the decision.

02

The only call to action is “Inquire”

Which means every enquiry starts with the traveller asking a question you have already answered a hundred times, and ends with an email exchange across five time zones before anybody knows whether the dates even work.

03

No price, not even a range

A traveller comparing three Yukon operators has figures for the ones who published them. Nothing about a bespoke trip prevents a from-price; it only prevents an exact one.

04

The newest year anywhere on the site is 2025

A testimonial from August 2025 is the most recent dated thing we could find. That is not old — but for a business selling next summer, this summer ought to be visible somewhere.

What already works

  • The writing is unusually good: specific, unhurried and not overselling.
  • Four distinct products, including self-guided itineraries, which very few operators bother to package.
  • An Impact page, which says something real about how the trips are run.
  • Reachable by phone and email, both published, in a trade where plenty hide behind a form.

What would change

01

Publish the season, then the departures inside it

June to September, and the weeks that are running. A traveller can then see in four seconds whether you are possible at all.

02

Mark each departure open, filling or full

It is the most persuasive thing a guided operator can put on a page and it costs nothing but the honesty.

03

A from-price against each of the four

Four numbers. They do not commit you to anything; they get you onto the shortlist that is currently being made without you.

04

Keep the writing exactly as it is

The prose is the best thing on the site. None of the above touches a word of it.
